Fake 1933 All Star Program

In case any one on here won this?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/140624508908...84.m1438.l2649

It's not an original.

Not doubting you at all...but how can you tell?

What's an authentic one worth that's been scored? I know an antique guy who has one but he hoards everything!:D It wouldn't be easy prying it away from him.

Shoeless Moe 10-23-2011 07:04 PM

Its missing the trademark on the scorecard page.

ibuysportsephemera 10-23-2011 07:11 PM

Thanks...I will watch for that in the future.

It also looks like the seller could be increasing his Feed Back scores with the help from either himself, his relatives or his buddies.

Why I say this is because if you look at his FB, he has sold a lot of things to Pickinforalivin and another id with "pickin" in the name. All three live in the same area (Berea, Windsor and another small town) in Kentucky.

Finally, if the person sells baseball reprints, reproductions of scorecards and inflates their FB with help from friends, it wouldn't surprise me if they also shill bid their auctions.

I'm no expert but I've seen scored ones go from 800-1500 depending on condition and where it is being sold, ebay vs auction house.

Glad to see so many experts...and detectives abound. Ctownboy seems like he is all knowing

However, that's kind of moronic, since eBay only counts the first positive feedback for you from any buyer in your number. Every other positive feedback does not show in the feedback number. If someone is making lots of cheap auctions just to increase their five star rating, that's pretty sad.

Hmmmmm you have two posts, and both of them are on posts with a scam artist that both have pickin in their names. You found the need to bump a three year old post with a snide comment. Doesnt take a detective to figure out who you are on ebay.

Shoeless Moe 04-19-2020 08:06 AM

a couple of bad ones out there by different sellers:

seller: rakel55555

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-1933-C...gAAOSw~ttek7O4

listed as a warning against buying the one above:

and of course ACOFIND, burn that sellers name in your head, if it isn't already, 90% of what they sell are fakes:

Looks like the 2nd one is actually a warning listing for the first one. Not an actual auction.

Shoeless Moe 04-19-2020 03:07 PM

Ah, thank you.....i didn't scroll down on the second one, but see that too now, that its an announcement to not buy the first one.
