1957 World Series Program

I have an opportunity to purchase a 1957 World Series program,Atlanta Braves & New York Yankees, for around $60.00 to $70.00.It seems to be in v/g-e/x condition, although I don't know much about these.Does anyone have any expertise or knowledge on these programs?Do people collect these? This only sparked my interest because Hank Aaron and Whitey Ford were in it,amongst others.Any help would be greatly appreciated-thanks in advance, sincerely,Clayton

Terapeak

According to Terapeak, sales of this program on eBay in midgrade condition range from $30-$60. Hope this helps.

Yes, they are very collectible and people do collect them. Which one is it, the Yankees version or the Braves version?

I would think a Yankees version would sell for a little more than the Milwaukee version. I have both versions of the 1958 programs and I paid around that price for the NY version.

I think that is an average to maybe a little high price, depending on condition.

On eBay in the last few weeks you could have picked up one (both Yankees and Braves) anywhere from low 30's to high 80's. It seems that the average price is in the ballpark that you are looking at. Your price maybe on the high side compared to eBay depending on shipping costs. I would always prefer to make a purchase where I can actually see the item, but I would bet that if you were patient enough you could find one in ex. on eBay for about $50 shipped.

Thanks to all of you who responded

This version I beleive is the Braves version, for it has the big Indian face on the cover. The same seller has a couple of other programs from 1947 (not world series games though),and I was on the hunt for old baseball cards,or old photos of baseball players-he didn't have much in the area of cards(he did have some cool old Johnny Unitas football cards though),but he had these programs,,,,,,,,,,I told him I needed to research these first, since I don't know a whole lot about them. Thanks for the information on the pricing, now I can try to haggle a little bit on the programs.I appreciate all of your time-regards,Clayton

Generally regular season baseball programs will be worth much less than World Series Programs. 1940's football programs are generally more valuable than 1940's baseball programs.
