Shipping to Canada

I would like to ship one graded card to Canada in a 6x9 bubble mailer.I went on the USPS web site and it says $7.95.I'm not sure if I entered the right info.
Does anyone have a ballpark figure ? And is it a hassle?

Canada

Not a fan of shipping to Canada... All packages are untrackable once they hit customs unless you pay a super huge premium

Thanks Dave.I read that it can take two weeks + for the package to arrive to its destination.

It takes a while to ship here(Toronto). I've actually found that USPS is much cheaper and less of a hassle then ups or fedex. I've never had any issues other then waiting a bit longer and having to pay a few bucks more in shipping then What's listed. I already know what to expect so it's never an issue.

Does the shipping cost I mentioned sound right?

It's around $7 for a 3oz package (bubble with psa slab is about 2.2). they do show tracking through delivery.

Yes, there was a big price hike in January.

Thanks everyone!

Very expensive to ship to Canada now - almost not worth it for inexpensive items. Just shipped 3-pound set to Canada yesterday. The set cost $25 and it cost the buyer $25 to ship.

I feel badly for Canadian buyers but sellers are left with no other choice.

Simple first class packages of 3 oz. are $7. Total ripoff, imo.

Canada costs about the same as it cost to ship to Europe and the rest of the world, about 10 months ago. Meanwhile the cost to ship to Europe and most International on lighter items has nearly tripled in the last 3 years or so.

Unbelievably, I still have a lot of International buyers but they have definitely scaled back a bit.

I just sent a card today and to get tracking and insurance for a $500 card it cost me $37.50 as it had to go express. It will arrive in 3-5 days but what a rip off. I also had to fill out two forms and all this took me nearly 20 minutes. I can't see doing this again.

The last entry on this thread is from 2013...

I need to send a small package to Canada (likely padded envelope) with 3 graded cards. the cheapest option Paypal is showing is ~$27 for Priority Mail International service... does this sound right? I'm thinking there is a cheaper option if I go to the PO in person....but not really interested in paying >$10.

Canada

3 PSA graded cards weigh about 4.2 ounces. If you can keep the total package weight under 8 ounces, you can mail it, with tracking for $14.25. Between 8 ounces and 32 ounces is $21.25. This includes tracking but no insurance.

It will be cheaper if this is an eBay sale and you print the postage through eBay. They generally give you a nice discount over the prices that I quoted.

eBay also has a new Standard Shipping program for Canada which gives steep discounts. I have only used it once, and it worked fine, but I am not knowledgeable enough about the program to give advice on it.

thanks,
I was charged $21.50 and was told this was the cheapest option. It was not based on weight, which was certainly under the limit you mentioned.
I am in NY, so maybe it is different based on jurisdiction.
