Roberto Clemente Type 1 Photo (1956)
 

I have a photo dated 11 October 1956. On the back written on the back it says (newspaper clipping) " Observa - En Las practicas del santurce; estuvo presente Roberto Clemente, quien terminara como el tercer mejor bateador de la liga National con .311 jugando con el Pittsburgh

I translated it and another scribed writing as the following:

Observe - Roberto Clemente who finished as the third best batter in the National League with .311 playing for Pittsburgh, was present at the sanctity practives

also

the ideal or partial reproduction of this photograph without critical permission of the managing director is prohibited.

My questions does anyone know the stadium in San Juan this was taken at?Does anyone know if other images of him as the player/coach in Puerto Rico exist? He played and coach in the off-season there during his career?

I'm sorry that I do not know the stadium to answer that question for you. But I did want to ask you why you believe that is a "Type 1" photo?
Based on what I can see from the scan, that is a wirephoto. It looks like a photo of a photo. Of course I would need to actually see and handle the print to tell for sure, but I believe I'm correct. I'm sorry and don't mean to disappoint.
