Didn't quite look like this, but the game did start outdoors in an outdoor rink watched by a few fans. So much fun watching this game the other night.

My son learned to skate on a pond that we would frequent every weekend at my buddies place. I had an atv with a plow and I would clear a large section every time it snowed.
Made for a great weekend gathering with friends and having a pond side fire going to help keep warm when needed.
I miss those days as it was great watching my son develop into a great skater and hockey player. :)

Thanks for sharing Irv. Can't decide which picture I like, the one of the pond, or the one of him playing competitively. Both are great. I played back the pond in the 70s and 80s, and my son played out of Pennsauken NJ for a while. It really is a great game to play.

It sure is! :)

My son loved the game so much he played 4 on 4 in the spring/early summer after the regular season was over and continued to practice when he could on our driveway.
Hard to believe it has been a couple years now since he last played but what's even harder to grasp is the fact that time flew by so fast!
Here is a letter written by a father that sums it up pretty good.
