Best Auction House for Modern Cards

New to all of this, and am wondering if any of the auction houses cater more towards the modern cards vs. pre-80? Also curious if anybody has had good/bad experiences with any of the big boys (goldin, pwc, baggers, clean sweep sterling) or smaller auction houses.

I'm looking to move some stuff and want to set myself up for success. Thanks in advance.

Really depends on what you've got.

Goldin gets amazing prices on super high end / super low # rookies

Heritage has done well as well. But there are a ton of "second tier" cards that do very well elsewhere. Given the run-up in modern, it's really in part a question on whether you're talking about something $25+K, $5+K, $1K - as the answer may depend a lot on where your cards are from a theoretical value perspective

Thanks Phillies. Nothing too crazy I would say, mostly < $1K with the exception of a bird/magic/erving that is at PSA right now. Mostly just trying to avoid the ebay hassle and all the scams that come with that, but i'll work that angle if i have to.

Like it was said earlier, it depends on what you've got.

If you're not talking super high end ($10K +), I might look at Sterling or Love of the Game. Both are active on this site and I've worked with both and would recommend. Sterling Auctions occur a little more often but LOTG (maybe) draws some more eyes due to their diversity.
