1925 Lou Gehrig Exhibit...Accepted or Not

I have read more and more about this rare card and have come to understand that it is slowly being recognized as Lou Gehrig's true rookie card. Yet, when you inquire and ask more questions about the card and its place in the hobby...there is hardly anyone that knows...except it seems...in this highly knowledgeable forum with all you passionate enthusiasts. I would love more feedback as it pertains to where this cards sits, in todays' rare collectibles. Thanks in advance for all the valued opinions.

It's been pretty much accepted as long as I have collected, the only times I have heard people not consider it are those who don't consider postcard sized cards as cards. The reason you don't hear a lot about it is its from a tough exhibit set and in all likelihood there is less of these out there than T206's Wagners.

It's considered his rookie by most probably, but then again for most collectors, rookie card status for pre-war cards is not necessarily that significant.

But for those who do collect Rookie HOF'ers it's a card they must have. When I was doing the "rookie card thing" I acquired mine. (and subsequently sold it, as mentioned)
