Prince Fielder To Retire - Interesting HR Stat
The Rangers announced that they will hold a press conference with the expectation being that Prince Fielder will retire due to his neck injury. If this is true, a very interesting stat arises. Both Prince Fielder and Cecil Fielder will finish their careers with exactly 319 homers each. Pretty incredible, huh?

2943 total bases versus his father 2484 and 1028 rbis for prince and 1008 for his father..only 20 rbi difference..! |
It's sad both that Prince is having to retire and that this is as close as father and son have been (albeit only statistically) in a long time.

I loved watching Prince hit the ball at Miller Park. Those balls traveled a long way.
