T202 Triple Folder Set COMPLETED!

WOW! FEEL THE RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After about 25 years of collecting this very cool issue, I have finally finished my set! What a joy it will be sliding that final card into my binder and then flipping through looking at the completed work!

Now deceased card dealer and collector Tony Carafield (spelling?) got me started on this set many years ago when I bought a group from him at a Philly show. Thank you Tony!

And thanks to a very good friend on the West Coast for selling me the final card I needed! Nothing but love for you brother!

Thanks guys! I appreciate the support!

Ted, I will be at the Oaks for sure!

What are the dates? I can't find them

tedzan 03-21-2012 08:24 AM

Dan

Oaks (PA) Show is scheduled for April 27-29th.

I expect a good crowd since the Valley Forge show has been rescheduled to June.

I agree Ted!!!

I think it should be better without the Hunt Show.

Dan,

Congrats on the accomplishment!!

P.S. If they were only graded then you would really have something special!!
HAHAHAHA

Wow !

Dan - Congrats! 25 years is a heck of a long time to collect one issue. Really cool you stayed with it and didn't go a different direction.

Hope to see you in Baltimore !

Congrats! Love that set.

Pictures?

zljones 03-21-2012 10:47 AM

Congrats! It feels good to build up a set or subset. Just out of curiosity what grade(s) were you mainly going for?

freakhappy 03-21-2012 11:48 AM

Congrats, Dan! Hopefully you will show off some pics soon.

I usually collect VG/EX or better, no creases and corners are more important to me than centering. That being said, this set ranges from VG to EX+. I will take some pictures tonight. Thanks everyone! Dan

Congrats Dan.

I am 4 cards away from the set, but 2 are Cobbs.

tbob 03-22-2012 09:34 AM

That's great Dan. There's nothing better than the feeling of accomplishment (and relief) in finally completing a set. Best regards,
tbob

Did you win that in Goodwin? I won the Too Late for Devlin...Devlin (Giants)...to complete my set. Took me only 1/5 the time...about 5 years, but I have no condition requirements whatsoever.

Congrats!

Mac
