Chicago 2021

Leon 08-13-2020 08:40 AM

Chicago is a better venue anyway, to me. As mentioned before I wasn't going to AC; pandemic or not.

And for those who don't want to click on the link

The 2020 Atlantic City National Sports Collectors Convention, which had been postponed to December has been cancelled. Organizers cited concern for the safety of attendees and exhibitors and the uncertainty over COVID-19 federal and state guidelines as the major reasons for the cancellation. Persons holding tickets for the 41st National may choose to use these tickets for the 2021 Chicago National with no changes required. Individuals who prefer to receive a refund may contact the National by email at nsccshow@gmail.com. Tickets for the Chicago National may be purchased on the National's web site at www.NSCCShow.com.

Exhibitors for the Atlantic City National will be contacted directly and will have the following options: 1) Rollover any payments for the Atlantic City show to Chicago 2021; or 2) Request a refund for any payments made for the Atlantic City event. Details on how booths will be assigned for Chicago will be provided to exhibitors. Exhibitors requesting booth space for Chicago should contact the National Office at 732-735-6683.

The 41st National Sports Collectors Convention will be held July 28-August 1, 2021 at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont IL. General Admission Tickets and VIP Admission Packages for the National are available now and may be purchased by clicking here or on the banner below.

Not surprised, but it is better off. By the time Chicago roles around a vaccine will be out and people will probably feel much better about the entire situation. I'm looking forward to the show in 2021. If I get lucky, the Cubs might be in town that weekend and I could catch a game at Wrigley as well!

Snapolit1 08-13-2020 08:54 AM

That would be pretty awesome after all the crap we've all been through this year.

FYI, under tentative MLB 2021 schedule, Cubs are only scheduled to be home on July 28 and 29, the first two days of the 2021 National.

Such a smart move. I love seeing everyone at the National, but you guys are dangerous enough to hang around with as it is.

Next year's National is going to be GREAT.

Re: AC National cancelled

As much as I was looking forward to it, it's probably for the best.

Also, Just looking at it, it's right next to O'Hare. Very convenient to say the least. I stood at the Hilton near the airport a while back and it was pretty nice.

Guess I'll just have to blow the bankroll with REA this weekend!

Better that they postpone it. Not worth the health risk to all.
Sad they had to skip AC. I know many dont like it, it is the only one i will go to as its within driving distance. Hopefully it will come to the north east again in the not to distant future

The White Sox are home July 30 - Aug 1. Not sure I will make it to Chicago, but if I do, I would try to get to one of their games. It's one of only 5 home stadiums I have never been to.

I absolutely see them coming back to the North East. This is defintely an idealistic pipe dream, but one could hope that the turnout in Chicago next year ends up being so large, that they book a show in something like the Javits Center in NYC. Again a pipe dream, I know, but who knows what might happen?

It will never come to Javits or anywhere else within NYC. The mobsters, I mean unions have such a stranglehold on that place. Everything must be done by them and moved by them at scale. My ex-father in law was president of Madison Square Garden in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He was trying to build a new MSG over the west side rail yards. He gave up due to the unions and refurbished the existing building instead.

Cleveland is not that bad a drive and a straight shot. Cheating the speed limit a bit you could do it in under 6 hours.

Mark - I disagree, Cleveland is a fairly easy drive for you.
