An interview with me on You tube
Had a nice interview with "Clemente Collector" (Theo) on You Tube.
We discussed the state of the market, Strongsville show, the national, collecting Vintage cards among other topics. Check it out if you like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXgurPKRbRM&t=987s |
I watched quite a bit of and will watch the rest later. Well done, guys. Much appreciated.

That was a great interview. I don’t collect postwar, but that Mantle Bazooka box is incredible.

Loved the interview, Howard.
I loved the interview, Howard. You articulated your thoughts really well. You most assuredly understand the collectors like myself who go for something hard-to-find, out-of-the-ordinary, that is simply beautiful.;)
I wish you the very best, sir. Thanks for loading up the interview link to share with us. Especially someone such as I who's technology-challenged.:o --- Brian Powell |
Great interview.
We’ll have to get our 62 Jello complete boxes together sometime to show off. |
Howard, thanks for your great insight. I particularly enjoyed your response to the question on what the investment horizon is for prewar cards with an aging boomer population. As a 29 year old collector of t206, I have always led with my “collecting” side as you mentioned. Like many, the complexity and beauty of the set is what drew me in, and the value/investment side has always been secondary. That being said, I have always wondered if the value of t206 cards will hold as we continue to be further removed from this era.
From my perspective, the t206 set, and prewar sets as a whole, are so intertwined with the lore and foundational history of the game, that I think there will always be an appetite for collecting that focuses on the “founding father” era of the game. Just my two cents, but definitely a thought provoking discussion that I enjoyed! Cheers! Daniel |
