1962 Topps Print Variation?

Has anyone ever seen this (seemingly) print “bleed,” or like, onto the back edges of the 1962 Topps?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e976749545.jpg

It's possible that something (other cards?) was covering most of the back of this card when something was spilled on it, causing that staining outside of the 'protected' area. That would be my first guess.

I would vote a dust shadow, that card sat in the elements for a long time in a closet or an attic with at least one card on top of it protecting most of the Santo card. It's very common with comic books and magazines.

Not sure if this is a regular or green tint card but I think it was Darren who pointed out that the regular card has a tape mark on it in the upper right front

Thanks for all the response…while they are all plausible, they don’t explain why the color is precisely the color of the wood-grain ink found on the front of these unique 1962 Topps cards.

Partial wet sheet transfer. Would make sense if the color you see on the back is 8matching the front of another 62 Topps card.
