Pre-pandemic, you used to be able to do this all the time, even with PSA 9's of 1980's and 1990's cards. It was great fun and I added a lot of fun cards from my youth this way.

Even today, this figures into my calculations when it comes to either buying a graded card or subbing a card.

I recently picked up a Ryne Sandberg 83 Donruss PSA 8 from Four Sharp Corners for $17. I am more than happy with this purchase
