Storage cases for '51 - '52 Bowman question

I have a friend who is slowly putting together a Whitey Ford set. He is working backwards toward his 51 Bowman rookie. After he finishes this set he want me to build him a display case for all of them (I've built a few on the side). He wanted to know if there was a hard card holder made just for that size card. A top loader is ok for protection but not exactly display material. I like the snap tites for these dislpays and I have standard as well a pre 57 ones but didn't know if there was smaller ones.
Let me know if there is and even better if you have one (I only need one) you are willing to let go send me a PM.
Also what about pages? I am thinking about building the '52 Bowman set. Are there pages for them or should I just plan on the standard nine pocket page with penny sleeves?
Let me know.
Thanks,
Drew

Sounds like a cool project. I'm not sure if there are any snaptites made just for the 51-2 Bowmans, but what might be cool would be using a bit of matboard to cut an insert for a regular snaptite. Sort of like the SGC holders have.

I'm going to do that to make holders for the handful of old judges I have. Too beat to grade, too thick for toploaders. Thick card snaptites fit them fine, but with loads of extra space.

I have no idea if these are *quite* what you're looking for, but a quick google search yielded a 1-screw holder for 51 and 52 Bowman cards:

Good luck!

Thanks for the link. This might work in I can find just one or two. I'm not going to need a whole box.
What about the pages? Anyone put a set together who knows?

I wasted part of my youth putting together both sets, but loved the pasteboard so much, could never stand to put them in hard holders, or pages, for that matter. Always wanted to be able to feel the cards in my fingers, so settled for thin mylar sleeves as protection. One drawback to that, of course, is set storage, since over the years, the cards will bend if standing upright, not so much if stacked sideways. Sorry, if this doesn't help.

Cardboard junkie and Chris S have found 10 pocket pages that work well for

them. Try Staples or Office Depot. I haven't tried them yet, but want to

pick some up this week.

Thanks for the link. I never even thought of using them. If you happen to pick some up and like them post back again to let me know how they work.

Works great for '51 and '52 bowman baseball

'51 and '52 bowman football '51 topps magic football

and for nonsports '52 topps look 'n' see, '54 scoop.
