Posted By: Denny Walsh
I've been lookin around to see which of the Colgan's are Rare to Scarce? I noticed on the VCP site that some numbers are skipped. Might this mean that there are less of them than the others?

Also, What would a common card(Gd - Vg) with the Green Tin cost now~a~days?

Dankz in Advance....

Life's Grand,
Denny Walsh

E254 Colgan Chips Thoughts & Questions

Posted By: John S
Denny,

Great question...wish that I had a complete answer. There are definitely levels of scarcity inherent within the E254 set; probably multiple levels. I have been working on this set for over twelve years. I still am surprised when what I believe to be relatively common Colgan's sell for multiples of book value. Of the 290 or so total cards there are still a few that I have never seen.

I am currently working on a checklist that will address your question. The checklist ranks the player/poses on a scale of 1 to 5 relative to difficulty. It probably will not be ready until the summer at which I will post it so it can be critiqued by other Colgan's collectors.

A common player in GD-VG with a tin could probably be had for around $30.

I know this is a very old thread, but I was curious if a checklist was ever published of the different E254 scarcities.
