Fake Ruth on the bay
Just in case anyone is thinking of it, as long as you know you are buying a fake card it's all good.

Ah yes, an oldie but a goodie. Advertising for a free drink at the bar while Prohibition was going strong. Genius!

I remember when i asked you Leon about this item before. I am glad to have some guys to ask for advice in advanced.

How the heck can someone selling an obvious fake like that have a 100% feedback rating? Seems like somewhere along the way there should be a few negs.

He says someday this might be an expensive card. Unfortunately for the buyer, that day has already arrived.

I'm far from a vintage card expert like many of you on this forum. What are the obvious signs that gave this one away?
It's listings like this, top rated seller, 1000+ feedback, and still selling fake cards, that make it hard for me to buy any vintage card that hasn't been authenticated. |

That makes sense, I hadn't considered the prohibition aspect. Looks like there's another of the same card for those who missed out on the last one. It appears to be in a PSA case or something similar without the PSA flip.

Might be nit-picky and I could be wrong but the font looks more modern and wrong for the period as well.
