Issues that are ICE cold!!!!

I can't think of an issue colder than...D359...they're tough...and attractive...and came in a yummy loaf of bread! But they are...FU-REEZING.

disclaimer...this beauty is NOT mine!

jimivintage 07-22-2013 08:52 PM

Agreed, Pete....and I have always liked that issue. I would also say the 1923 Lections set as well. Used to have a few, and they are no where to be seen anymore, except for one or two a year or so. No one seems to be collecting them or selling them. Bummer....

ullmandds 07-22-2013 08:53 PM

personally...those lections never did anything for me?!

HRBAKER 07-22-2013 08:55 PM

They may be ICE COLD but the B-I-N prices seem to be unaffected. :)

murcerfan 07-22-2013 09:23 PM

no doubt, cards like this were "selling" for thousands and then like 200 and now only twice what they went for last week.
not bad for a $150 card.

How about...E99/100...ICE COLD!!!!!

murcerfan 07-22-2013 09:53 PM

How about E125 ?? ICE COLD DEAD DOORNAILS !!!!

deader than dead since the Driers moved on.

Orioles1954 07-22-2013 10:06 PM

1933 Tattoo Orbits are DIRT CHEAP right now. SGC 84 commons selling for $50?

ullmandds 07-22-2013 10:07 PM

wow...high grade tattoo orbits are that cheap?

Are there a lot of e125's on the market? I don't follow them?

I like punctuation!

murcerfan 07-22-2013 10:21 PM

So, you obviously must follow D359's ?

Did you think the set in REA went for an Ice Cold price ???

http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/.../2013/324.html

they all have the backs torn off (somebody lost a few night of sleep after they realized what they done..I hope!!!)

what kind of price expectation would have been warm or hot?

ullmandds 07-22-2013 10:56 PM

things that make you go hmmmn! I don't really follow them closely to be honest with you. that was a complete set...w/very nice fronts...but $500/card...someone def overpaid but it's be tough to complete that set with fronts that nice.

Pete- agree 100%. I am sitting on a lot of E99s but I don't dare try selling them at today's prices

Pete...........I will happily agree with you on the e100's, as long as everyone else in the hobby does.....and then sells me their's at deeply discounted prices :D.

The market for 1989 Topps has really fallen off a cliff the last 15 years or so. I wish I could put my finger on why.....maybe it's time to start hoarding again.

Myachelydra 07-23-2013 12:30 PM

Seems like that's been for a couple years now.. Each time I buy one, I think I got a great deal, only see a slightly better deal go down a few weeks later. I still love 'em regardless, and don't understand why more people don't value their overall appeal/package (best period action shots, nice color portraits, best period back write ups). To each his own.

N28 prices have seemed pretty cool to me lately.

atx840 07-23-2013 03:19 PM

T206 oddities. Sell sell sell.

tinkertoeverstochance 07-23-2013 03:22 PM

D322.....nuff said for me!

Rich Klein 07-23-2013 03:46 PM

Just mention Joe Jackson on a photo

of the T202 set and let's see some prices moving :o
