Who wins the Open tomorrow?

Stenson, Mickelson, or the field?

After the approach shot on 1...I'll take Michelson by 2

I'm going with Phil. Seems to be playing very well, and looks relaxed.

Don't know who'll end up winning. But I'm sure it'll remain close or in-doubt all the way up until the final couple of holes. I don't see either one backing down or giving up.

On another day, Philly wins this tourney with the score he shot. But not today. For once, he didn't do anything risky, he just got outplayed by Stenson. Stenson was lights out with his putter, esp. his last putt to ice it.

Best golf I've ever seen by 2 players (not 1) on the final day of a major. Mickelson finished 11 strokes over the player that finished third, and he lost by 3 strokes!! Stenson had two 3 putts, and still shoots 63:eek:

Not as good as the 1977 Open. Nicklaus and Watson went down to the last hole after basically playing two rounds of match play. Nicklaus shot 65-66 and lost to Watson's 65-65. They were 10 and 11 shots clear of the field.

I would say those two comparisons are very, very close. Keep in mind, Mickelson missed 2 putts on Sunday that were less than 6 feet for birdie, and he lipped out a chip on number 2 for birdie. Stenson has two 3 putts for the round, still shoots 63. Both of these guys were absolutely remarkable....This was as good as it gets in my book...

There are always going to be missed putts like that in a major. Nicklaus missed a 4 footer on 17 that would have sent it to a playoff. Then with Watson set up for a birdie on 18, Nicklaus put it on the green from the deep rough and made a birdie to put the pressure back on Watson. When you have to go 65-65 10 under and make a birdie on the 72nd hole to win, that is hard to top. Especially when 3rd place was 1 under for the tournament. Sunday the tournament was pretty much over when Stenson birdied 15. If it had gone to the last hole, I would feel differently.
