Who Am I #2

I am hyper.

I never wore a baseball glove while on the field.

My rookie card is in the same set as the rookie card of a record-setting infielder.

If you know who I am, answer the following questions.

1. What's my name?
2. Why didn't I wear a glove?
3. Who is my similarity partner?

Probably not the correct answer but
1 Herb Washington
2 never played in the field (and never batted )
3 George Brett

There are two answers, and yours is better than mine:
1. San Diego Chicken
2. Because he was a chicken
3. Cal Ripken

New answers.....

Actually there is an alternate answer:

#1 Morganna the kissing bandit
#2 Because like OJ, the glove would never fit
#3 Dolly Parton

:)

Based on criteria #2 "Never wore a baseball glove on the field", the answer can not be The Chicken.

Herb’s 1975 baseball card lists his position as Pinch Runner. Despite no official ABs his 2 year career totals include 31 SBs and 33 Rs

Not in 1974 or 1975, but in today’s game he could have easily scored as a ghost runner in the 10th inning without stealing a base.
