Hake’s Americana & Collectibles Auction #206 Now Online And Open For Bidding at www.hakes.com.

Hake's has been the premier source for Pop Culture and Americana since 1967 and in recent years has offered some of the rarest and most sought after baseball items, most notably those pertaining to the Cuban and Negro Leagues.

Hake's is in the midst of its 206th auction which closes July 17-19. Participation is online via Hake’s website - www.hakes.com with real time bidding or by using the 400+ page gorgeous full color catalog of nearly 3,000 items in 200+ collecting categories.

The current auction is once again highlighted by baseball items from the Richard Merkin Collection. Last auction, the 1910 Punch Cigarros “Pop” Lloyd baseball card from this collection sold for a world record price of $94,875.

Auction #206 has more Cuban baseball cards, designated by SGC with “The Richard Merkin” pedigree. Some of these include: 1910 Punch Sam Crawford, Joe Casey, George Moriarty, Bris Lord, Ricardo Hernadez, Quico Marinat, Emilio Palomino and Carlos Roggers; 1923-24 Billiken John Henry Lloyd, Oliver Marcelle, Clint Thomas, Frank Warfield and Nip Winters; 1923-24 Tomas Gutierrez Oscar Charleston, Andy Cooper, Frank Duncan, Mack Eggleston; 1924-25 Aguiltas Jose Mendez, Dobie Moore and Eustaguio Pedroso. We are also offering a 1931 Doble Aquila #191 Concordia vs. York card featuring Martin Dihigo.

Autographed items authenticated by JSA/PSA include: a Ty Cobb signed check display, a Babe Ruth signed check, a Cy Young signed photo additionally signed by eleven Cy Young Award winners, a ball signed by 23 New York Yankees including Mickey Mantle, Reggie Jackson and Whitey Ford, and a great selection of signed items featuring other Hall Of Fame members such as Dizzy Dean, Joe DiMaggio, Casey Stengel, Duke Snider, Don Drysdale, Johnny Mize, Brooks Robinson, Monte Irvin, Roger Maris and an impressive team photo of the 1969 World Champion New York Mets team that has been signed by 30 members of the team.
