Are there any errors/variations in 1973/76 sets that i should keep a eye out for?
 

Any help or opinions would be great.

1973 and 1976 Errors/Variations
 

The SCD Catalog lists a lot of variations in the 1973 set. Many would consider most of them print defects rather than actual variations ( an intentional change in the card by Topps to correct some error or to update the card). Almost all of the manager cards can be found with color variations...and in some case picture cropping differences ( SCD lists manager cards 49, 81, 116, 131 136, 179, 237, 252, 257,449, and 517 specifically, but see the thread on this set in this forum). Cards 20, 31 and 504 are listed as having border gaps....even though this type defect can be found in some cards in almost all sets and most are not listed.

I also have found a recurring print defect in card 96, Griffin, with a line through the second base designation on the front; card 169,Schueller, a line through Atlanta on the front; 180 Jenkins, blotch in left border; 216 Harrah, blue sky extends above border; cards 393, Cardenal and 397 Cash, with errant ink splotches/marks on front; card 417 Spinks with a irregular border at top; cards 425 LaRoche and 435 Carty with ink mistakes in circle on front; cards 478 and 490 Johnson & Johnson with border breaks;

SCD does not list any variations that I am aware of for 1976. I have a couple of print defects from that set. Cards 11 and 327 can be found with different colored lines, yellow or white above the name on the front and card 340 ( Rice) can be found with an extra green border on the back.
