Picked these up awhile ago and looking for some more information on them. I was told they are of the 1934 Detroit Tigers and were issued by the Detroit Free Press. I have been unable to find any type of checklist that tells how many players were issued with the set. I have also been unable to figure out an approximate value of the pictures. When I purchased the photos the original envelope that they came in from the Free Press was included.

Those are definitely neat and I haven't seen them before. There were 2 other Detroit Free Press sets of players in bright colors and larger sizes, 2 shown at very bottom are from the series M120. They are 1934-35, I believe. The other is a premium from about the same time. They don't really have a lot of value....maybe a seventy five bucks for all 3? maybe a little less?
The other 1934 Detroit Tiger Team set I am familiar with was put out by Annis Furs. Here is the the Cochrane from that set, I used to own. :( It is approximately 4 x 6 inches in size and that series has a little more value, but not a ton, except for I think Greenberg?...and the poster that told us where they came from next to it....
Value of your lot will be a bit hard to determine since they are so rare. Good luck!!

The colorful M120 Fress Press premiums shown look fantastic in high grade and are a little harder to find.

Similar to 1933 Who's Who style

There is a similarity to the style of photos used in the 1933 Who's Who. I no longer have the book to compare.

Nice supplements! Is it safe to say that yours are blank back and of thicker stock than newspaper? Here are the complete news paper pages that I have showing the same photos. These were featured in the Detroit News for several weeks in September 1934. If yours are some type of premium than they are very rare. Leon, the Anis Furs ad piece is a beauty!

It just dawned on me the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press were competing newspapers. Your premiums were from the Free Press and my pages were from the Detroit News. They issue a joint publication today.
