I think its a fake...
Hi all,
Been lurking for a while and finally decided to sign up. Looks to be a lot of knowledgeable people on here. My FIL has this auto ball that he says is authentic. I told him it looks like a bad fake ?facsimile? ball??? We are both no where near experts on autographs or sports in general. Can you please help settle a friendly bet between us and provide your opinions on this ball. *sorry for the IPotato pics. Best i've got Thanks in advance! it's stamped (facsimile), the kind of ball they would sell at the stadium.

I observe these on Ebay all of the time and am amazed at the number of sellers who list them as "hand-signed, my grandfather got it in person."

Yes and I had a guy scream at me when I told him his Yankee ball was one of those.INSISTED his Gramp got it at the stadium and wouldn’t give him a fake (OF COURSE HE DIDGET IT AT STADIUM. Souvenir stand) |
Yeah I always love the "my grampa got it" scenario specially on Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig signed baseballs. If it's not my grampa got it back in the day, it's "found in an estate sale". Always seems to be a Babe Ruth ball in every estate sale.

Funny only ball I saw when my dad and I went to estate sales years back was a Frank Viola😇 BTW. It was real |
