Posted By: Alan
WOW !!!

I didn't think they would go out of the Philly area...

It actually is easier logistically for collectors coming from Western PA, Virginia, DC, and Baltimore because there is less traffic & fewer tolls. We will see if the show draws collectors, though !!!

Posted By: Griffin's
Apparently they can't have it in Philadelphia proper, since the city requires dealers to pay sales tax. Hope this doesn't kill the show, there are so few left.

Posted By: James Gallo
This show was 10 minutes from my house. I was so close I went back and forth a few times in one day.

Now it is close to 2 hours. Honestly it really seems like the best show around so I will be there as often as I can.

I miss this show already.

James Gallo

Looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks and 1909-11 American Caramel E90-1.

Posted By: Bob
I had always heard that next to the National, this was the best show to go to for prewar collectors. Is that the case? If you were going to make one show a year, other than National, would this be the one? I am wondering if the same dealers will make the trek to this show. Any thoughts?

Posted By: Alan
If you want to know the truth, it's like a miniature version of the national -about 1/3 the size. I can't wait for early December's show !!!

Alan

Posted By: Bob
Alan- One dealer told me the great thing about Fort Washington shows was that if you took the National and eliminated the Playboy bunnies, and refractor cards, you had about the same lineup of prewar stuff as at national (roughly speaking). Do you find this to be true?
tbob
