I realize this isn't yours, but that's a little steep for a PSA 9.

Edit: Actually I guess I'm wrong, I didn't realize 9's were selling for over $2k...WOW! Makes me feel real good about the BGS 8.5 (9.5, 9.5, 9, 8) I bought just four years ago for $725.

I sold my '9' via auction format about 5 months ago.....it brough $1,700 and THEN fees were taken out! I kinda wish I still had it, had I known ther were climbing that much.

What do you guys make of this? I mean there was a time (I'm talking within the last two years) that I remember seeing PSA/BGS 9's selling for $1200-1300 pretty regularly. What gives? It's not like the card is in short supply

It's Michael Jordan. He is the KING of basketball. Their version of Mickey Mantle. There will never be another one quite like him for some time. He has universal appeal.

Yeah, I get that he's MJ and the standard by which all other basketball players are measured and will always be measured, but a $800-$1000 jump in a PSA 9 over a two year span 10 years after his retirement? It just seems odd to me.
