1933 o-pee-chee hockey color variations

Is any color recognized as being tougher than the others, such as blue is tougher than green, etc.? Are there associated premiums. Please point to where this has been discussed already. Thanks in advance.

From everything I've read about the set in the past, it seems as though each card was printed in every color. The problem is that there aren't that many that have been submitted for grading so the ability to confirm the color distribution (although it's supposed to be equal) is difficult at best.

Agreed. I've never seen a variation in price according to the color. Same goes for the 1933 Hamilton Gum series.

Very interesting conversation on this set. Unfortunately, none of us know how many were produced, how many “survived’, etc. I’m sure there would be a premium value to certain player/color combinations but it’s all just speculative given so few details.

These just finished a little while ago. Trying to sort of gauge the current hockey card market so I'm wondering, since I don't follow these cards nor know much about them at all, if these prices are up, down or about the norm? There were more in this auction but I only watched these 4.

These are reasonably strong prices. Don't discount the GM Grading factor, which always helps their prices for above average condition.

The Blake RC in VG is a really strong price. I still need one to complete my set, and have been watching this card for several years. It does not come up often, and when it does it generally eclipses previous sales.
