I really like the 72 set for color and there are some great off registration issues in that set

John the Herrera on the left is a favorite of mine

That Herrera on the left-it feels like that's when the blip occurred that blocked the end of his last name for the rest of that print run.

Yep the one on the left is way cooler than the other one.:)

Found these today looking through boxes. A ink smudge over the FR in his name. The ink smear is a little darker in hand.

Is it a print variation if they forgot to do the print?

What is the name of the store? If they have ‘60’s commons I need to check them out for 1966 and 1969 miscuts.

Love that Hornsby miscut back, nice one.

Wow - 4 cards from 1 miscut...it's like a dream come true!

Actually, I think we could identify which one it is. Off memory, like most years, the 1961 checklist variations came from a checklist being printed in 2 series. Since you can see the cards it was adjacent to like Turk Lown, it is whichever variation was issued with the same series Turk Lown was in.

Very good! It is the back of the #437 6th Series Checklist that was printed on the 5th Series Slits, Turk Lown and Reno Bertoia are 5th Series cards.

I figured you would know off the top which sheet it was :)

I checked my 1961 notes and my list doesn't have which version of the checklist (440 Luis with more of umpires legs vs. 440 Louis with less of umpires legs visible) was with which series.

The only 5th series sheet image I have is this old one from a long ago Leland's auction that's not big enough to make it out. The card in column B, rows 3 and 10.

Do you have which one it is from your sheet project?

Solved I think, it's 440 Luis with more of umpires legs showing.

Found another 1961 odd ball 517 Willie mccovey …..blue man version!!! Wet transfer? The blue sweat in his jersey is really cool. Card can be found with and without the blue. Some of the other blue versions have a different blue stain at the top of the card
