More Asterisks?

Will any batting records achieved by the Red Sox and Yankees this year require an asterisk due to the London Series’ impact on compiled stats?

I guess the WAR in London isn’t over.

If today's score is 20-18, then yes, an asterisk is needed. But if it's more like 3-2, then yesterday's game was an aberration. They said the artificial turf was hard, and the heat wave they are having caused the air to be quite moist, so there were factors.

Also, at 4 hours 42 minutes, one of the two or three longest nine inning games ever played.

Okay, there are 20 runs today through 8 innings, and 50 for the two-game series. I bet you won't have trouble finding teams to head to London for a few days. It's a hitter's paradise, for some reason.

Luis Cessa should go to HOF since he pitched 4 innings with Zero earned runs

The series did spawn two new kind-of cool trivia questions:

1.) Who is the only player to play on three continents during the same season?

2.) Who is the only player to hit two doubles in the same inning in Europe?

.

The record for the most runs in consecutive Red Sox/Yankee games was broken in London, so is the prior record still a valid American record.:D

Perhaps not a record but .............

Name a team that won 2 games in a row scoring 29 runs and used 15 or more pitchers to accomplish the feat (or fete if you consider the British point of view).
