number of times in 2024 some butthurt commenter will wildly guess that

The beautiful thing about the Yankees' 27 titles...no other team is going to equal that in my lifetime.

I think 29 is the NBA record, but times have changed. Detroit is trusting the process and waiting to draft in the coming years. 2-80, or 12-70, I'm not sure it matters to them. The Rockets tried this (it's a tough watch) and gave up and signed proven free agents and are decent again.

Looks like there will be no need for 29.
