Mickey Mantle ticket, 9/17/1950 Called up to the majors?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
This is a ticket from the first game that Mickey Mantle suited up as a Yankee. He didn't play but he took batting practice before the game and sat on the bench if he was needed in the game. Is this a desirable ticket? What would be a decent price to pay for the ticket as its not his official debut but rather the first game he sat in the dugout wearing his Yankees uniform for the first time. Thanks! |
Mantle "debut" ticket
Since it is not dated, how can you tell it was for that particular day? If it is the first game he was on the roster I think it has a premium over a regular ticket, but not near as much as if it were his actual debut.

Undated. No way of tying it to any particular game that season. Most likely was in a leftover ticket holders season booklet that they never used.

I'll give you $2.70 for it, and I'll pay postage.
