The Great Pittsburgh Find Of Signed T206

1 Attachment(s)
With the help of fellow board member Ray Piskadlo, I have compiled 54 autographed T206 cards that comprise the Great Pittsburgh Find of Signed T206s, which took place during the summer of 2007.

What we think we know is that the original owner was a sportswriter. His heir began to make the rounds of Pittsburgh dealers, including "ctang50" and "r.c.means" on ebay. He also hit the Pittsburgh show that year, and met with several autograph dealers.

What I am showing in the scan below is the 54 cards that came from this collection before, during and after many were posted (or were to be posted) on ebay. I own many of these. There is another Net54 collector that owns a fair share as well.

If you have any of these -- or think you may have additional cards from this find in Pittsburgh -- please share them here!

Oh My!! I love seeing those old signed cards. I haven't seen many up for sale over the years...probably because the collectors that have them will never give them up.

See? I'm generous! I do not just hoard them all for myself!

For the Pittsburgh record, you do have 3 from this group, but the Marquard was from a different collection -- which is one of the reasons that the signature is so amazing.

Since we're on the subject, I would be LOVE to pick up a signed HOFer T206 if anyone has any extras or knows where I could get one. Really special cards, thanks for showing them off.

Good luck, took me 3 years to finally get one off of Paul :P

Not that I'm not obsessively greedy about signed T206 cards, but I "only" still have 19 of the ones that are in this lot of 54. That means there are 35 cards in that scan that are in other collections. Strangely, the majority of my collection is from the Jeff Morey collection and the November 2007 Louisville Hunt auction.
