Posted By: <b>Paul</b><p>If you go to any of ebay's vintage card categories, you'll see a large bar of options to the left. At the very top, you can select "original/reproduction/unknown." The feature doesn't actually seem to work as far as I can tell. But this is wrong on so many levels. First, it legitimizes putting reprints in the same category as originals. Second, it legitimizes the practice of disclaiming the authenticity of an item. I thought that was still against ebay rules, yet now ebay has a whole category dedicated to violating its own rules. Bizarre.

Posted By: <b>Cat</b><p>I haven't quite figured it ALL out yet, but I just know I am very frustrated whenever I do a search these last couple days. As I see it, now there is a separate year to "click" on so as to view cards in that specific year. It used to be pre-1930 all bunched together. It makes it a real hastle.<br /><br />It just amazes me that they could take a good thing (EBay) and screw it up so bad.

Posted By: <b>Bob</b><p>I just spent the time emailing eBay about creating a separate category for reprints and reproductions (particularly the ones self-described as such, the scammers are another email for another day). I wish more people from here would do the same thing. Go to the eBay site map and hit the suggestion box link and fire away.

Posted By: <b>Dave</b><p>Cat,<br /><br />The pre-30's category is still there. When you select the baseball-mlb category from the main list, just go down further on the yellow column on the left. They pushed it down further for some reason. That is unless I am still getting the older version.
