Which One Would You Choose?

The baseball card fairy comes to you and says she will give you one of the following 5 cards. Which one do you choose and why?
I would choose the Just So Cy Young because its so rare/impossible that this would be my only chance to own it; the others can be acquired, theoretically, if one had the money. |
No doubt which one I would take, even if I already have one. I have had others on the list, but have no real desire for any of them, Maybe the Jackson, which eluded me so many times.
|
For me it is the Old Mill Joe Jackson. I have been wanting one for years and it is my bucket list card.
All the cards are great cards. But for me it is the Old Mill Jackson |
I picked the Ruth. I have the Cobb already, and the Just So Young was tempting because it’s the coolest and rarest card on the list…But i don’t own a Ruth like that and would prefer a Ruth. Would ask the Fairy for the Baltimore News instead though!

Investment considerations aside, I'd take the Cobb to keep.
|
OM Jackson for me. Don't even have an expressable reason why. It just does it for me.
|
Just So for me.
. |
Joe Jackson , always wanted that card
|
as much i like Ruth..gotta go with Joe Jax.
|
Just so Young. I’m a sucker for a great portrait! And that one is a killer.
|
OM Jackson for me. Just something about that card for me. The Ruth is probably #2 for me

My brain chose Ruth, my heart chose Jackson. The Ruth imo has more room to run overall. Now if it was that Ruth or a Texas Tommy Jackson I'd go Jackson all the way. - |
Just So Young. No contest.

All things (e.g. current value) being equal, I would go with Ruth. In 100+ years, I think he’ll continue to transcend baseball more than any other player. Plus the card shown of the lot is the only image of an actual baseball action (pitching), it notes the Boston Red Sox (a team that defines baseball and a great reference point for this era), and is of Ruth in his Sox uniform which is quite scarce. Happy New Year!

Hi Ryan, happy new year my friend.
I’ll go with the Ruth…followed by the Jackson. |
Interesting thread, Ryan. I chose the Just So - Cy Young card, mostly because card rarity turns me on. But, if you had stated that the 1916 Ruth card has a rare back, such as Mall Theatre or Holmes-to-Homes Bakery (a Wash., DC, company) without paper loss on the back, I would have chosen the Ruth card.

The Cobb is my Holy Grail
|
Ruth or Cobb for me, never understood the extreme level of appeal of the Jackson since it's not his earliest or rookie card.
|
Gotta go with the Just So, for the reasons that others have already posted.
|
Ruth followed by the Jackson for me though it was a tough call. Ruth is just baseball Americana to me.

BTW - Ryan, my New Years resolution is to not make any more obnoxious, confrontational statements, and I truly apologize for the ones I made in the past. |
I would choose the T210 Jackson over the others combined. T210s are the most beautiful tobacco cards.:D
|
The Cobb speaks to me. The eye appeal is fantastic.
Jackson is second, mainly due to him living in Greenville SC, where my in laws are from. |
What back does the Ruth have? If blank back I'd take the Young with Wagner being my second choice. If I can pick the back I'd take the Ruth.
|
I would take the Spider every time.
|
Bambino for sure...and it's not even close!

Just So Young is the one I’d choose. Can’t go wrong with any of them. But the Young would be for me.
