I bought my dream card

I've been lurking here for a while, but never been an active poster on the forum. I think I finally found a worthwhile reason to join in, as I've finally bought a card I've been wanting for 10+ years. I'm still pinching myself that I own one, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Nice card. Congratulations on picking up your dream card. Although I’m not a t206 guy, the green Cobb has always been one of my favorite cards.
Enjoy it in good health. |
That's a beauty. You picked a nice one, congratulations.

Looks great, now enjoy it , don't put it away, display it. Now save up for the next card on your wantlist.
|
Sorry that you waited over 10 years. You probably paid 5x the 2010 price.
|
Nice fat borders! Love it!
|
Congrats!!! You picked up a real beauty.

Very nice, Congratulations

Awesome, congrats! That’s a great looking example of a top-tier card.

Thanks for the warm welcome. If I had the means 10 years ago, I would have bought it, but as many of you know, school, marriage, kids, and life in general can put those plans on the back-burner. It's not the $5k PSA 5 I could have had 10 years ago, but it's plenty good enough for me.
I've noticed a few of you have referenced wide borders. What's the significance of that? Does it relate to trimmed sides (or, more specifically, lack thereof)? If (or more likely, when) I buy more t206, I'll be sure to share them here. |

Slam and mic drop.
On rats and well done. Great patience too to get a nice one for that grade. |
Wonderful card! Thanks for sharing.
|
Great one.
|
Outstanding card
|
You’re my kind of collector....save up money over a period of time, look forward to making a big purchase, and then celebrate when you pull the trigger!
Great card! So what’s next? Add some more T206 cards, or go after something different? |

That is a great looking example with nice colors, big borders and rounded corners. The rounded corners not only typically helps getting a card at a better price, but also makes a fresh one like this look appropriately old.
Congrats on waiting/finding one you can really appreciate. Here is what your Green Cobb could have looked like if you had been impatient. Brian (patiently impatient and a cheapskate, but still glad to have it) |
awesome card
Worth the wait. It looks undergraded .5 to boot.
Congrats! |
Nice pickup. Congrats!
|
