Best Auction for High End Tickets?

Where do you ticket collectors look to find the best tickets? I am interested in learning a bit more and would like start by looking at some of the rarer stuff.

Thanks!

Hi Brian,
Good question. My answer would be, it depends...
My question to you re: high-end tickets is what specifically are you thinking about collecting?

The answer is partially dependent on your response(s).

That is a good question. Probably baseball major milestones and significant games from the 1950s and back. Not sure if that is specific enough.

Hi Brian,
I still believe that eBay is a good place to start looking for tickets like these.

Auction houses: Heritage and Robert Edwards sometimes feature major milestone baseball tickets from this time period.
All of the auction houses seem to require PSA slabbing in order to sell these on consignment.

Birmingham Auctioneers usually has a few ticket stubs in their auctions.

Just re-read the original post. I missed the "high-end" part the first time. Sorry.

For high end stuff, there are a few eBay sellers who have rare items but the prices are 2-3x value. I would keep your eye out on all of the major auction houses each auction and loads of stuff will pop up.

Good luck!
