What are the Oldest Football Programs Known?

Posted By: Rhys
I stumbled across this article and was wondering if this 1873 program between Eton and Yale was really the oldest known Football program before the 1872 one was discovered? Does anyone have any idea what other programs exist from 1873-1874 or know of any public or private sales of similar programs from the early 1870's?

Rhys

http://collectableivy.wordpress.com/2008/02/10/the-oldest-known-football-program/

What are the Oldest Football Programs Known?

Posted By: davidcycleback
Early football didn't resemble modern football, so it can be like the unanswerable 1830s town ball versus baseball debate. It's not just the date and the team names, but what is the game they are playing. Someone will post a pic of an 1830s card of kids playing a game and ask "Is this the first baseball card?" My question will be, "Is it baseball?"
