Net54 BST - Tell a Happy Story

Unfortunately, there have been several recent posts about eBay scams and crooked eBay buyers and sellers. It sucks that those things go on, and it sucks equally that PayPal and eBay seem to side with the scammer more often than not. Hearing these stories highlights to me how great is the BST function on net54 and how upstanding most board-members are when it comes to buying, selling, and trading cards on BST. With this recent rash of bad eBay stories, I thought it may be nice to show that there are still some good and honest people in the card world, so please share a good/happy story of a net54 BST transaction. I have many, but here is one:

I am doing a t206 Evers Yellow Sky back run (just need the BL 460 and Drum, plus some Louisiana versions). I needed a t213-1. Jobu, who is a great guy, a fellow Badger, and a collector of Louisiana cards had one and was willing to part with it in order to acquire (I believe) a t216 Cobb from Mac (another great guy/board member who sold me a t206 Tinker Bat Off SC 350-25 I needed). Jobu and I cut a deal online, and I met him in person at a hotel in downtown DC a few weeks later when he was in town for work. I got a great card, I got to put a face to the name, and I had a fun experience. All from a “wtb” post on the BST.

The t213-1 Evers is below. Tell your story!

Nice card! Where are these T216 Cobbs that you speak of?

I didn't know Bryan had an Evers in an SGC 30 holder.

Here's my only one toward my near set of 67/68 missing Rhoades.

The board helped me a lot from about 59 to 67. I don't remember where or when I got this evers, probably before grading became a thing. Rob

Great idea for a thread. Rather than type it all here, I'll link to a story of my own.

I can't recall one specifically different from the rest, but I've done over 20 transactions on BST (everything to $10 to over $15,000) and there hasn't been a hitch with one of them. No 20% markup, no waiting weeks for it to be shipped, no figthing with shill bids, no craziness.

Not much of a story needed here!

I ALWAYS was in awe of this card, but just watched the price rise for years until I NEVER thought I would own one...

THANKS AGAIN ORLY for working with me to make it happen!

Perfect Timing !!! I also have has many great transactions on BST. All three ways ... Buying ... Selling ... Trading ...... :)

Here's my most recent (cards just arrived): I post every few months my "want" list of "back upgrades" for my mid-tier set.

This time, Art M. comes through BIG !!!!! He made these "Beauties" available to me at a very fair deal. All are GREAT upgrades for me. Especially Cassidy (who was at the top of my list to finish off the Balts.), and Lavender (who is quite a low pop card).
