Looking for opinions...Hank Aaron RC

2 Attachment(s)
I want to send this Aaron RC card off for grading but it is off center with a small pen/pencil mark on the back. Looking for opinions on it's potential grade. Is it a 6 or 7? Or does the mark and off center make it a 3-4? Or somewhere in between?

Thanks

I would probably rule out the possibility of a 7 and expect a qualifier (MK) to whatever grade you get.

Of course, I have learned to be pessimistic when sending off for grading. That way, I'm never too disappointed with the outcome.

those 2 bottom corners. nice card, if i were to guess somewhere near 4-5,pending any creases.

Based on SGC grading with the O/C
60 EX 5 80/20 or better centering, minor rounding or fuzzing of corners, roughness or chipping along edge (no layering), one VERY slight surface or "spider" crease may exist on one side of the card, gloss may be lost from surface with some scratching that does not detract from the aesthetics of the card.
55 VG/EX+ 4.5 A VG/EX card that exhibits high-end overall quality and eye appeal.
50 VG/EX 4 85/15 or better centering, corners are slightly rounded with modest surface wear. Light hairline crease may show on one or both sides. A light tear or surface break may exist.
45 VG+ 3.5 A VG card that exhibits high-end overall quality and eye appeal.
40 VG 3 90/10 or better centering, corners more rounded--but not excessive, stronger creasing may exist. Poorer focus, registration, and discoloration, and staining are more noticeable.

I think it's a 4, maybe 4.5 with a MK qualifier. Still a darn nice card.

Hank Aaron...

Begsu1013...

The card is mine. I inherited a box of 300 cards of 54 Topps after a relative passed. Most (90%) of the cards are #126-250 with multiples of many cards. The cards were boxed up in storage (attic) since the late 50's and very well preserved. The Aaron card posted is the worst of the bunch of his rookie cards from the box. I am trying to judge the possible grade of the worst one which would give me a good idea what the nicer ones would be.

I appreciate all the opinions...

I would say 5mk or maybe a straight 3-4, but still a beautiful card!

JB, no creases or anything else, just undergraded. If I was really interested I would probably crack and resubmit.

I would say PSA 5 MK at best. Cool card regardless of number.
