Federal League - Historic Autos line?

While I'm not sure I want to venture into the world of collecting autographs, I'm looking into what my options are for collecting Federal League material.

Any thoughts on the Historic Autos line? Quick research shows that these were random inserts put out by the Historic Autograph Company in 2019 in the deluxe "Hobby Edition" boxes. It seems like while many of these cut autographs are Federal League players, it sounds like they also included some non-FL players for some reason. I'm not sure how many different players they included, but I have seen some duplicates, so I know they aren't 1-of-1s.

I like them because I appreciate their uniformity (and that they are authenticated), but some of the framing is a bit odd at times.

So...do these have any respect as autographs - or should I just only consider a standard set of 3x5 plain index cards?

I would ask myself: "If I could find one would I like a nice clean index card where the player signed his name, listed his position and the teams he played for or this piece of dog excrement?"

I'd rather have a signed cancelled check then a signed file card or that monstrosity

I love autographs on checks.
Especially ones I can cash
But the Vintage checks and players that might be my next adventure in collecting

I cannot echo enough the sentiments of Michael and Scott.
That card is an abomination. Just for that alone, I would personally never collect them. Now I have no problem with people taking cuts and making cards out of them, but if you're going to do something, don't do a half ass job of it.
People can, and should, collect what pleases them, but I would prefer a nicely presented signature, on any medium. Uniformity is nice, but the rarer the autos are the less likely it is to find the combination of authenticity and uniformity.

Thanks for the replies.
And I assume "picture window" presentations are atypical/unnatural?

These are worse the the first one. The signature is too long for them to fit into their pathetic little cardboard frames. They cut it up, cut a hole in the paper and place one of the pieces they cut behind the other so that the 'whole' signature is visible. These people are fornicating rectums!!! I will give you $1 for each of them just to be able to throw them in the trash.

This is a very confusing set to collect, and it is basically impossible to determine a checklist of at least the autographs available.

As you can read at the below link, the available autographs are not only players who played in the Federal League, but also players “that could have played in the Federal League had they so chosen like Babe Ruth, Harry Heilmann, Dazzy Vance, Rogers Hornsby and George Sisler.

I only keep track of the T206 player autographs in their products. I’ve definitely seen Shaw, Barger, Bridwell, Jones, Camnitz, Tinker, and Bender — each of whom played in the FL.

i collect signed checks of MLB HOF'ers. The best and most overlooked medium of them all. Each one is 1 of 1
