Posted By: runscott
Any thoughts on this? The Matty is clearly shorter than the Lajoie, and the McGraw is described as trimmed slightly at the bottom, which made me take a closer look at the other cards. The Wagner looks pretty good for a VG. Was there that much variance in size for this issue?

http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/site/bid/bidplace.asp?itemid=143&getauctionid=9

Posted By: Jimmy Scott Elkins
I don't believe this set has a size variance. Everyone of these I have owned in the past (though in average VG condition) have had extra wide borders - these do not. Also, the Cobb, if it is correct side to side looks to have been overgraded - there was a GAI 4 on eBay recently that was MUCH NICER! That is if someone wants the card, not the holder! I have submitted several cards to GAI lately and all have come back within .5 of the grade I assigned (most the exact grade!), so I think they are doing GREAT WORK! Sorry to get off the subject there - just thought I would praise someone for a job well done (guess that is better than bashing people/companies)!
