1953 Bowman rough cut

I busted a 1953 Bowman out of one TPG and subbed to another but the card came back EOT. The card looks to have semi wavy sides but was there a true clean cut on 53 Bowmans.

Thanks

Hi Taxman

Now that we are in the correct section lets see if one of our scholarly post war guys or girls can help out here. I know some 1950's series sure had factory ragged edges.....

What do "TPG" and "EOT" stand for? This reads like a text message I would receive from one of my kids.

Rough Cut

TPG= third party grader
EOT= evidence of trimming

It's possible that the card was trimmed and it just slipped past the first grading company. I think they've all made a mistake at one time or another.

a scan (of the rough cut/card )would help. quality control was non existant for bowman cards.
