1938 Yankees Team Ball - Authentic?
I've had this ball since 1980 and have no knowledge of its life before then. I am looking to sell it. Do you folks believe these autographs are authentic?

Regarding the HOFers…
DiMaggio and probably McCarthy look clubhouse. But Ruffing and the key sig, Gehrig, look good! |
Agree. The Gehrig is good. McCarthy and DiMaggio are clubhouse.

Market Value?
I'm new to the memorabilia game and I've been told this ball could be worth anywhere from $2k - $10k based on experts assessment of the autographs. So, in terms of what am I asking, I don't know. Maybe make an offer?

Just seeing the assessments now. Gehrig - YES!
Happy to hear a couple of endorsements for the Gehrig signature. I would be looking to sell it. Could anybody offer a rough estimate of its value?

Ball
If it was me and I wanted to sell it--I would go to some of the auction houses and click on past auction results and see if I could match up ones with similar clubhouse and "real" signatures for a 1938 team signed Yankees baseball and then look at the price...keep in mind that the final price will show 20% higher than what the sold price was do to the auction house taking their cut.
If you come up with a price...let me know--I might be interested...I like the Gehrig as well. Thanks. DAVE |
That's a $2500 ball at the most.

Beautiful authentic Gehrig signature!

I might be interested in buying this. Send me a PM when you are ready to sell. Thank you. Jeff
