1967 Topps Venezuelan Baltimore Orioles Team Set Project--Complete!

Wow, this one took only a few years! Today, I completed my 1967 Topps Venezuelan Baltimore Orioles team set of (9) cards. I've been lucky in that only 3 of my cards have back damage. This goes very nicely with my 1964 Topps Venezuelan Orioles team set. Three cards (Boog Powell, Frank Robinson and Luis Aparicio) were purchased DIRECTLY from Venezuela. Very proud of this team set as single cards are incredibly tough to find in any condition. This ends my Topps Venezuelan Orioles project as really only the 1964 and 1967 issues grab meand I have no plans to upgrade. I will probably only snag Brooks Robinson cards from the other Venezuelan sets.

Congrats! Sounds like an interesting and difficult project.

Awesome... would love to see them. I'm thinking about starting at 64 Cardinals team project. Already have Boyer... need all the others, ha!

Congrats! Would love to see the fronts/backs. I've picked up the Brooksie cards over the years (mine are pretty rough), but somewhat presentable.

My Brooks is pretty rough as well. I will post scans tonight.

Venezuelans

Congratulations Orioles. These are tough cards. I have settled for just one example to put with each of my corresponding Topps sets.

Does your story about you direct purchases have any intrigue in it ? I know a collector, Josh, A761506, who is a serious collector of these and is close to completing all these sets, and he has some amazing stories about direct bulk purchases from sources there. I know another collector, Mariner, who is also close to completing a couple of the sets, 59 and 60 I think.

As you say, finding them in even Ex condition is not easy since the practice seems to have been to glue all the cards in albums

Congrats, 1967 is a great set.

The only Venezuelan card I have is the 67 Robinson. Congrats on a tough subset completion.
