1880s Cabinet Photo ID Help
 

Hi-

I recently acquired the cabinet photo scanned below in a small lot of late 1880s Connecticut items. The items included photos of Yale buildings, small photos of the Yale baseball and rowing teams, and pictures of CT state legislators from 1886. This player looks very familiar to me. Does anyone know who he is and what college he played for (if any)? The photographer is from Hartford. I do not think he is anyone particularly famous, but I feel like I have seen at least one other cabinet photo of him. I can provide better scans if needed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you Dave! I really appreciate the photos. Another board member mentioned it might be Trinity college as Yale was typically photographed by the Pach brothers. It is still bugging me as I believe I have seen a very similar image of this player but I cannot remember where. I am thinking it might have been in a friend's collection and I will see if the image rings a bell with him.
