picked this one up and am awaiting its arrival in the mail.. it is signed by 74 former negro league players some who are now deceased.

Any idea on the backstory of how the autos came to be?

If I remember the signatures were acquired during negro league reunions . have not been able to find out info on some of the players but at the moment I know of at least 26 who are now deceased on the photo.. the oldest was 104 when he passed away ( Bill Stewart ) .

Great way to pick up a large volume of signatures. I'll say it though, it's way too busy for my personal taste, but there are plenty of collectors who like this type of format. I'd be the guy getting individual cards signed, or maybe a multiplayer photo signed by those pictured only.

mhm it is a tad busy , but i liked it like that and for me being on a budget was a good way for me to get alot of signatures for a fair price on ebay .
