Record price realized for Gretzky PSA 10
 

Hockey is finally "for real" in the minds of other collectors. Last night's Heritage auction showcased the $1.29 mil sale of a PSA 10 OPC Gretzky rookie.

It took other collectors long enough to realize what we’ve known for quite a while. Hockey is as real as it gets. :D

Didn't an Orr 66 Test PSA 8 in the same auction sell for over $70k with the bp?

$69,000 exactly with the BP.

And it's hard to believe the bp from the Gretzky was the equivalent of nearly four of those Orrs.

Curious what a PSA 10 Orr RC would bring if one existed.

I actually like the 9 better. Currently at $78,000 with the juice. Unreal.

I thought the same. Thought that OPC 10 was generously graded. :confused:

Are you guys watching the 1966 Topps Orr PSA 8 in the Goldin auction? It's over $80K with the BP and it's still not over.

Sold for final price of $85K with the BP.

Another record I assume?

These Gretzky cards were sold at a perfect time. The market is insanely hot right now and we don't know when this will happen again.
