Latest scandal uncovered by BODA regarding COMC

Incredible work here. You need eyes in the back of your head in this “hobby”.

COMC seems to be taking steps to resolve this issue. The seller of the tainted cards is taking a page from the Brent playbook by offering buybacks. But personally, I think this is the right time for COMC to get them all back and use a massive amount of altered slabs in one location to go after PSA's buyback guarantee.
For the ones past the return window, that may be an option for a bunch of the purchasers. Hopefully COMC responds positively to this misuse of their selling platform.

COMC's response. Definitely stronger than almost any other platform.

I've never used COMC. I may have to start. Kudos for an unequivocal statement.

If you buy a lot of lower value cards their shipping can save you a ton of cash. Unfortunately they are becoming a museum with insane prices.

That was really impressive. Hope they follow through. PSA, are you taking notes??

The crazy thing about the COMC cards is the sheer volume they must have been trimming. There are 3 dollar, low interest cards that have been found trimmed. The conclusion has to be that they took a blade to their whole PSA submissions. It looks like a volume business - take a modern 5 dollar card, two minute trim, into a CS1 and off for bulk grading. Ten dollar investment including grading and shipping, sell card for 20-30 bucks. Multiply by thousands of cards and you have a low risk, high reward business. Turining ten dollar bills into twenty dollars bills is a good little business, with the odd big hit in between.
