and No I do not have anything in it, nor can I probably afford anything in it.

But just some amazing items this December at auction here and other houses.

Christie’s always has the most insane estimates. Like there is some librarian somewhere who doesn’t have a clue what he or she is opining about.

There is a Lou Gehrig signed holiday card with an estimate of 25,000 - 50,000? What? And it’s simply signed with his name? Nothing special? Maybe a $7000 item. At most. There’s been many of these holiday cards in recent years. They aren’t selling for 25-50k. Or anything close to it.

Thought the same thing about Christie's estimates. Typically an AH will be under on their estimates, but not Christie's. They have a 1934 Goudey Gehrig graded authentic and the estimate is $3,000. Ahhhhh.... no.

If their estimates include shipping costs, from what I have heard those ranges are probably right on. :D
