Congratulations for losing? Memory Lane
I bid on two items, but decided to pass on both after getting outbid. Today I received an email congratulating me on my winning bid, or bids, and to expect an invoice soon. No specific lot is mentioned.
Anyone else get a similar email? |

Interesting.
Lately we've had the auction cease and desist (Goodwin). Then there was the computer down in Goldin. Now, congratulations you won, not really. |
same
I bid but didnt win, got the same email stating congratulations. also shows that their wire transfer payment info had changed!
maybe someone hacked/phished them and is trying to hijack payments? |

I got the same email. I had bid heavily on two items and had to go back and check them. It wasn't a dream, I had been outbid on both.

Didn’t win anything. However according to a Memory Lane email today, I won item(s) and gave me wiring instructions to pay!!

I got an invoice: "You didn't bid and you didn't win anything. But could you send us some money anyway? Please add the 20% bidders premium."

email
My email said -"this message is meant to point out that you are a cheap, broke ass loser".

I bid on a number of items and did not get that email.

There have been many auctions where I went to bed and woke up thrilled and highly relieved to find I didn't actually win anything.
|
I got a second email stating the first was a mistake and apologizing for the inconvenience. Not really a big deal, but it did catch me by surprise this morning. I thought someone had retracted a bid at first because I knew I was outbid on both items.
