Are these from a team set? circa 1950s-1960s?

Anyone know if this black and white photo is from a Team set, year? It is approximately 6 x 8 and on thinner stock, but not as thin as paper. A bit thicker. Thanks for any help. I think the Santo one, which is approximately 6 x 7 1/2 and on heavy, clay coated cardboard, is probably a cut from a box?

I think I found it...1954 Cleveland Indians Picture pack of Dave Philley....

Hi Leon,

This is all I could find on the Santo:

Unfortunately, the seller didn't know what it was either. He thought it was a team issue but I would venture to say you are right and it's a box cut. Not one I am familiar with though.

I have seen that Santo advertised a few times as being cut off from a Pro's Pizza box, his Chicago area Pizza business in the mid to late sixties. I have a few of these, they do have a waxy feel to them like a frozen pizza box would. I have never heard of an approximate year on these, but I would guess between 1966 and 1969.

The Santo does not look like any of the Pro's Pizza pictures in the Standard Catalog.

All the ones pictured for 66 and 67 say Pro's Pizza.

I don't know how to paste eBay items to here, but if you go to eBay and search for Ron Santo Pro's Pizza under completed listings, one will show up from Columbia City Collectibles, a very reputable, but a little expensive, dealer. According to him, it is from 1969 and Santo is the only known player in the uncataloged set.

I have bought some great oddball stuff from Columbia City before. I think the gentleman's name is Mike, but don't hold me to that. He has more obscure regional and Topps stuff than almost anyone on the planet. That being said, with his millions of items, I have seen him make educated guesses on stuff before and not be exactly right (he is right almost all of the time but not 100%). I am not sure I consider this Santo as part of a set without more proof. It really looks to be cut off of a box, and with it's coating, probably a food-stuff type box. I appreciate the help!!

ps...that being said, if I don't find anything else, I will probably go with his assessment.....he is good.....
